How about a terrarium?
Hi ! They make battery operated mini lights that have a bottle stopper that fits in bottles , with an on / off button to control it . You can give it a beachy look by partially filling it with shells . You can use it as a " memory" bottle . I have a glass jar that I use as a memory and , unfortunately , it is not a clear bottle ..every time I go for a walk with my husband , I pick up a pebble , a shell , a piece of sea glass , an interesting shaped or colored stone...
The first two are great or how about sand art or painting it on the outside and using it as a vase or a coin jar? I knew someone who put all their change in the jar and then when it was full the went on a family trip with it. Or maybe a small fish tank like you used to buy for kids.
