I saw this post but can't find it again. Just cut & sew denim squares into basic quilt then add either water proof shower curtain,vinyl cloth backed table cloth or black-out rubber backed curtains to other side,putting cloth side of these a up against blue jeans and water proof side out.This provides dry sitting area.If you cannot sew here is no-sew idea using other materials https://thesurvivalmom.com/diy-no-sew-waterproof-picnic-blanket/
