Hi Karen, I haven't done any projects as yet but have bought a bunch of clothespins at DollarTree and plan to try a few different projects starting with something pretty simple. Some people dye them, paint them, use washi tape on them, etc. Here's a few of links with some ideas that might inspire you too. Some are practical and some very whimsical! Have fun! I plan to.

I have seen Christmas angel ornaments made with clothespins. Begin by painting a clothespin white. Use a fine point marker to draw a face on the top of the pin. Then fold a coffee filter accordion style. Put a staple in the center. Glue a clothespin to the coffee filter where wings would be. Use a pipe cleaner to make a halo.
I just love the way they look as is...I keep them in a glass jar in my laundry room for decoration.
You could use some nailpolish or scrapbook paper and decorate one side - and glue on a magnet on the back! Then you can use it to hang pictures or lists on the fridge!
