What do I do with glass jars?

Answered
From salsa, spaghetti sauce and pickles I have so many glass jars. I hate to throw them away because it is so much waste! But now i have dozens of them. And I need to find out a way to re-use them. All suggestions are appreciated.

My husband uses glass jars to organize his nails and screws. I use them to store buttons, and small items.Helpful Reply -

If you have too many to use, do you have community recycling? You can drop them off, there. You can find out where they are by calling your local government office such as your City Hall.Helpful Reply -

I know that you aren't supposed to do this, but one time when I ran out of jars when I was making bread and butter pickles back when, I used the glass pickle jars and glass spaghetti jars, anything I could get my hands on. They worked fine and sealed great and never had spoilage. I had so many cucumbers that I made enough quart jars to feed us and friends and family for years, and not a one of them didn't stay sealed.Helpful Reply -

I took a picture of a shelf I made exactly for this purpose. I too love jars, and when we found a source for jam that was inexpensive we accumulated a lot of jars. They could also be used in the bathroom for q-tips, cotton balls, face wipes. You can glue on squares of fabric and fill the jar with small things as a gift for a child or a friend; candy, small toys. Although these jars are kind of small, I keep Christmas candy in jars, and just use them on display year after year.Helpful Reply -
