Your choices are pocket doors, sliding barn doors, or pull out doors. If that won't work due to your space constraints, I'd say no doors or you are stuck with these doors. You could use molding and paint to change their look.
I had to turn my bi-fold doors into NON bi-fold doors but taking middle set of hinges out but if your limited on space to swing out them maybe try one of these (see pic below) they slide past each other and don't swing out. Hope this helps
Yeah, that would drive me nuts! Have a carpenter frame each double door and put in conventional double doors.
It truly will be. If you’re a bit handy you could probably do it yourself. Don’t worry about the carpet....it can be pulled up and cut around. Price the doors, you may be pleasantly surprised!
It truly will be. If youre handy you could probably do it yourself. Don’t worry about the carpet. It can be pulled back and cut around. Price the doors...you might be pleasantly surprised. You don’t have to buy a double unit, just singles where one opens left, the other opens right.
Look at it this way...it’s permanently fixed! You might be able to do it yourself if you’re a bit handy. You don’t have to buy double door units, just singles where one opens right, the other left. You might be surprised how inexpensive they can be. By the way, a skilled handyman can do this, you don’t need an expert carpenter. Good luck.
Thank you, again.. and for the encouragement. We are somewhat handy, so thanks for the heads up that it is doable👍
Have you considered fabrics?
My son hated his, so he took them off. As soon as he leaves for JobCorp, I am making a curtain to cover it up
Good Luck on your project.

Hello, how about sliding bypass doors? You can get them in many sizes and and the mor doors you use the less they intrude with the opening. Or you could try accordion doors?
Replace with double doors so you can open the entire closet to see what you have. If you goggle that there are several sites that are devouted to this.
