I just took the entire vertical blind unit down. Then installed a double rod, sheers underneath and curtains. I used curtain clips, easy off, easy on for washing.
Use existing fittings and hooks.
Remove the blinds and hardware. Patch up the holes and paint. Install curtain rod and enjoy the new look.
Remove the blinds. Patch the area if needed. Install the hardware for the curtains and then the curtains themselves.
Found a cute little trick. Cut a paper towel tube in 3 inch pieces with a slit down the middle. Put that inside the fold of the curtains (I have 4 on each panel). These will keep the curtain looking neat. If they are opened and closed you will want to make sure you have enough curtain fabric to do this.
Works like a charm.
Take the blinds completely down including track and put to a side . Fit new Curtain tracks or poles for the job, or wires if just nets or voiles.
