Crystallizing Edible Flowers Into Beautiful Dessert Decorations

Edible flowers can be used fresh in both savory and sweet dishes but you can preserve them for longer - and create a stunning effect - by crystallizing them in sugar.
It's an easy project and takes very little in the way of materials. Just edible flowers and leaves, like primroses and peppermint, an egg wash and fine granulated sugar. Other edible flowers that you can use can include roses, lavender, violas, pansies, and calendula. You can find a more extensive list on my blog. Using edible leaves to offset your crystallized flowers is a great idea and can also add a bit of extra and maybe unexpected flavour.
To find out more on how to make your own, please visit my blog where I give full instructions as well as youtube video demonstrating the process.
