Makeover tip: Headboard Solution

+9
Answered
We have a large wall between two windows where our bed sits. We could only afford the matresses and frame of our new king bed so the headboard was missing. I searched and found tons of ways to make one but couldn't decide. Then, a walk through Big Lots solved our problem.

This is an awesome idea! I like that you can also use it to display decor!

That really looks beautiful. It wouldn't work for me because I'd knock myself out by knocking ornaments or knick knacks on my head when I sleep. Apparently I thrash around like a fish out of water. Lol!! It solved your conundrum of wasted space. Good for you.

Good for you! Beds are often ridiculously expensive. I bet yours is better than the one that came with the bed. You can change up the decor when you feel like it too, most headboards serve only one purpose.

Love it!! I had a similar dilemma and used a large canvas art from Ikea!

It would never work in California. The first thing I learned when I moved to the Earthquake State is to never hang anything over the bed that might wind up on your head. Soft wallhangings only!

If you ever get tired of the room divider, look on Decorativetiles.com. In their catalog they have ideas for walls. You can get samples of full size tiles which are paintable. When I get my act together I plan on using them in our bedroom. The tiles are a lightweight foam, styrene or bamboo. The samples I have are 24" foam.

I think it's a bit busy, another great idea try using a sofa table , lamps on each side maybe a round mirror an a lovely center piece or photos will look lovely also.

Love it! I always liked my old bookcase headboard, which has long since gone by the wayside!
