Shelf Turned TV Consule

This post is about how I turned a small thrift store shelf into a TV rolling cart with storage!
Our TV had sat on the floor for months...even the surround sound had just been laying there! We were in desperate need of a stand of some sort. Our basement didn't allow for great TV placement, so I came up with the idea of a TV rolling cart of sorts, in order to adjust the TV to wherever people were sitting.
I found this small shelf at the Goodwill. I literally had 10 minutes till closing when I walked in, saw this and scooped it up.
We used some plywood we had laying around to make an area below the shelf for the DVD player and surround sound.
The I added some casters in order to turn the TV to wherever I needed it to be.
I then painted it, polyed it and distressed it. I love that the shelf already had some fantastic texture.
I loved what we had come up with in the end, and it ended up working out perfect for the TV and other equipment!
