DIY Dyed Bottle Brush Trees

Did you know that you can dye bottle brush trees to any color you desire? It's a really easy process and is less than 20 minutes from start to finish.
I went with bold reds this year as part of my Christmas decor and that was my inspiration for these trees.
I started with inexpensive bottle brush trees in an off-white color and chose Rit Liquid Dye in Cherry Red to jazz them up a bit.
I made sure my work surface was protected with an old towel - dye does what it's supposed to do, DYE, so you want to make sure you are very careful.
After following all of the steps outlined in my blog post (see link below) this was the end result! They weren't as pure red as I would have liked but I'm attributing that to the fact that I didn't bleach the trees first. That's what I'll do next time but for now, I love the way these turned out. p.s. I may add some glitter, what do you think?
