Repurposed Baking Pans Gift Box

It's fun to wrap gifts in unexpected ways, and even to make the package part of the gift. This project is part of a Junk Revision Challenge to find unexpected ways to wrap gifts by repurposing. Check out the rest of the projects in this Challenge by clicking on the link at the end of this post.
I have a thing for vintage bakeware.
Its' very easy to tell that these vintage GSW pans have been baked in many, many times. Check out that patina!
The first thing I had to do was figure out how to make these pans into a box without damaging the pans in any way.
I put the pans down side by side and simply taped two sides together.
This acts like a hinge, and the best thing is that to return these pans to their original purpose after the gift has been opened all one has to do is remove that one strip of metal tape. Easy peasy.
Here's my baking pan box closed.
I went into my bakeware stashes and found some Christmas themed vintage cookie cutters, some vintage tart cups in three different sizes, a set of measuring spoons, and a set of Foley measuring cups.
I wrapped them all in a festive red tea towel,
and added two Christmas themed hot pads.
In my eyes these pans are patina perfect, but I did want to pretty the box up a bit so I wrapped it in a wide piece of lace ribbon. I just taped the lace down on the bottom.
Then I wrapped and tied it with a tartan Christmas Ribbon, making sure it was tight so the box holds together well
Then I wrapped some jute twine around the box and tied a Williams-Sonoma glass snowman chef ornament that I just thrifted this week. I love the little baker's hat.
Everything used in this repurposed baking pans project was thrifted, except the jute twine, so it didn't actually cost that much to put together.

I love this idea. Going to use it for Mother's Day. Thank you!
