No Chimney, How Will Santa Get in to Deliver Gifts?

If you have small children or you're just young at heart, & worry that Santa can't come if you don't have a Chimney... Put your fears to rest, & make a *MAGIC* Santa Key!
Years ago when my daughter was younger we had the dilemma of how Santa would deliver gifts when we didn't have a chimney for him to come down! Being a woodworking crafter/painter I solved the problem by cutting a wooden Santa head out of a scrap piece of pine board I had laying around, painting it, & attaching a simple *magic* skeleton key to the bottom using an eye screw & ribbon. (I got my skeleton keys at Walmart, if you can't find them there you should be able to find them at most any hardware store.) There is also an eye screw on top with enough ribbon attached to hang the Santa Key from the door knob. While some of you may not have the tools to cut & paint your own Santa head, the same thing could be done using a pretty ornament on top with the key hanging down from that......
On the back of the Santa head is a little poem similar to this one about the Magic Key & how it ONLY works for Santa. Hope this might help someone with a similar not having a chimney problem! =) Merry Christmas!

Where did you find the keys?

Linda, I got mine at Walmart (along with the regular keys where they make them) at the time they came two to a package for 1.00 I think but it was 15yrs. or so ago. I'm not sure if Walmart still carries them, but you should be able to find them at any hardware store like Home Depot or Lowes.
