Christmas Entry and Advent Calendar Garland

Hi all! Can you believe that Christmas is less than two weeks away? I am here to show you my Christmas Entryway! This place has evolved since I first decorated it, and I ended up adding this advent calendar garland on a whim one evening while completely hitting a wall on where to hang my advent bags that I made. But sometimes we can be our most creative when we feel clueless, yes?
Welcome to my home! If you were visiting in real life, this would be the first space ou see when you walk in. I have done my best at creating a welcoming first impression, and you can read all about the evolution of this space on my blog.
This is a store bought garland, and I added lights and the burlap ribbon and red tweed bows. I love it! But then I made all of these cute little red bags to hang as an advent calendar- just another thing I was really late on. Well, I couldn't find anyplace to hang them and one evening it just hit me to try hanging them from my garland, and so I did, and I just think they look adorable!
I also changed this white hanging bucket from white poinsettias to red ones, and I added a black plaid scarf spilling out the front. This white bucket always gets changed out for the different season, and the way it looks here is actually my second attempt for Christmas. You can click the link to this post, to see the way it looked the first time around.

One year I used a long ribbon and hot glued wrapped peppermints down the strip with a rolled message glued to it. I used Christmas scriptures. I gave them to friends. Easy to make and everyone loved them.
