Dust and pure grossiness!!!
Place in the dishwasher for a good cleaning.
This vent was cut with a saw to fit under a cabinet. That is why the jagged edge. But look how clean it is??
The after of the ceiling vent which use to be all dusty.
Replaced the floor vent after it's been washed in the dishwasher.
This is what I use on the floor and ceiling vents in between the dishwasher cleanings ; ) I LOVE it!! If you need a good duster, this is it!

Some have one screw in each end, others are just a drop in style you can pick them right up no problem.

Good ideas. My floor vents are metal and rusty. Any suggestions?

First off, they are pretty cheap at the store. If you want or need to keep them, sand the rust a bit and use either a rusty metal primer or a product called Extend that converts the rust. You can get it in auto parts stores. Then paint it with a spray paint, and put on 3 coats following the directions on the can.

They let tons more air then a dryer filter. We have never had any problems with our heater, and change our wall filter regular. I am not a specialist of any kind so do what you think best as with any comments or demonstrations on this site.
