Ikea Hack in Three Simple Steps

Ikea always has small inexpensive faux plants and flowers that are pretty and look real. . A round ivy topiary from Ikea sits on a shelf in my bathroom. So when I spied one just like it at the thrift store I recognized it as being from Ikea. I snapped it up for less than a dollar but when I got it home inspiration struck.
With Valentine’s Day right around the corner I though how pretty a heart-shaped topiary would look. Looking at the round Ikea ivy topiary I wondered if the round form was wire. Yep, it is wire. Step One - Find the center of the circular wire topiary form.
Step Two - Push down on the wire form bending it into a heart shape. It doesn’t have to be perfect.
Step Three - Cover the plain black pot in a container. For this cover I took a tea towel and wrapped it around the black pot and secured it with a rubber band. Easy peasy.
