Cloth Napkins Tutorial
In an effort to be more green and cut down on costs in our home we mostly use cloth napkins. To save even more money I made some of our napkins and in this tutorial I show the steps that you can use to make your own napkins too.
Begin by washing, drying, and ironing your fabric of choice. I chose a vintage looking floral but this is something where you can pick whatever style you want. Then cut your fabric into 19 inch squares.
Pin a hem of 0.5 inches on 2 sides. Iron down the edges.
Take out the pins and open up the folded over part. Now fold the top down toward the crease and iron. Now fold on the original crease, tucking the cut edge of the fabric in so that it’s out of sight.
Pin it down again so that everything stays nice and tucked in while you sew. Sew along the edge for the two sides you pinned. Then repeat the process for the other two sides so that in the end all 4 sides have been sewn.
