I love decorating for all Holidays but I do not like storing the decorations. How do I fix that problem? Edible decorations! This centerpiece is simple and the main decoration is chocolate so once the holiday is over the candy is gone. It works for all holidays just switch up the candy.
For St Patrick's Day use Shamrocks and for Easter use chocolate eggs or bunnies.
Materials:

Chocolate heart candies

Tooth picks

Container for base

Tissue paper

Foam ball

*Total number of candies and size of foam ball depend on the container size and shape.
Step 1

Place tissue paper and ball in the top of the container.

Step 2

Insert the tooth picks into wrapped chocolate candies. You can also use candy roses, chocolate Kisses, Dumdums or Blow Pops to change up the style or decorate for a different holiday.
Step 3

Decide on a design and press the candies into the foam ball.

If the chocolate is soft use a thimble or small lid to help press the softer chocolate in place.

Continue adding the candy and then add a second layer to fill any open spaces. To camouflage the blank spaces you can also paint the foam to match or coordinate with the candy.
For an added detail:

Cut and curl strips of ribbon. Tie the ribbon to tooth picks and add to empty spaces as a filler. If you are worried about the tooth picks showing through you can use florist picks that look like large staples.
