Table Makeover Inspired by Chocolate

That's right! is the theme of this month's challenge. I was stumped at first, but knew this roadside rescue would be the perfect makeover candidate.
Would you have stopped for this musty broken mess of a table? Luckily my dear friend stopped for me...she pulled it straight off the curb for me!
We had to cut off part of the table top that was beyond repair and then I had some cleaning to do. After that I used some homemade chalk paint to start the transition from junk to gorgeous. Touches of gold leaf buff were added for the shimmery gold dust detail that makes this table pop. It goes to show not much is to far gone to be made new and beautiful.
For more step by step pictures and the story of how chocolate inspired this project, I hope you'll head over to Hunt & Host. I have galleries full of great DIY projects, road side rescues and inspirational messages. I'd love to have you over!

Definitely would have stopped! Look at the detail on those legs! Great job in resurfacing, too!
