Sheepskin

I have a sheepskin throw that I've owned for about 10 years. While spring cleaning, I decided it needed to be cleaned. I called a couple of local dry cleaners knowing they would send it out to be laundered as a specialy product but was astonished when I was told it would cost me $159. to have it cleaned. Thank goodness for Google. I took the sheepskin down to the laundrymat along with $5.00 worth of quarters, a cup of baking soda and 1/2 cup distilled vinegar. Turned the washer on cold, added the baking soda for detergent and the vinegar for fabric softener. After removing from the washer, I brushed with a stiff brush, brought it home and continued brushing it while it dried, off and on during the afternoon. Now it is clean, really soft and smells so fresh...and I saved a ton of money. Thank you Google.
