Deck Makeover: Progress

With the onset of summer it was high time to show my backyard some love. We have longterm goals for a complete overhaul out back eventually, but at the very least we needed to spruce things up a bit. We started out with a space that was a collection of neglected furniture and a dumping ground for toys.
During a recent trip to Target I found some outdoor cushions on clearance that sparked my impromptu makeover. A weekend full of some elbow grease and a couple cans of spray paint and we have the start of a great space to relax in. I shoped our house for things to use outside such as the garden stool and a rattan coffee table I was about to donate. The old furniture along with the coffee table got a coat of glossy black paint. I also decided to bring some lanterns out of storage. Drought tolerant plants and potted lemon and lime trees add greenery to the space. Ive still got a few things left to do, but all in all im really happy with the direction its heading.
