Quick and easy way to spruce up your playroom walls with a pop of color!
I organized 3 boxes of crayons (about 70 crayons total) in a rainbow-inspired color pattern along the top of the canvas. I hot glued each crayon down, with the top of the crayon flush to the top of the canvas.
The hot glue dries fairly quick, and then you are ready to start blow-drying. I tilted the canvas at angle, and hovered the hair dryer over the crayons until you see them "sweat". Note - it is a lot easier to focus the heat of the hair dryer if you attach the diffuser.
As the color began melting down the canvas, I tilted it at various angles until I got the color saturation I wanted. If you are doing this indoors, be sure to cover up the walls and ground as the crayons will splatter color from being melted.
I worked the hair-dryer across the length of the canvas to get all of the colors to drop down, leaving a little bit of white space at the bottom.
This project is easily customizable. You could focus on just a handful of colors, and you could even blend the colors together even more, leaving no white space at all.
