Rita C. - Panoply on Aug 18, 2013@Carolyn, in general, I cut back my perennials back in Fall or Spring, depending on the plants. For lamb's ear (which I don't have), I googled and read it may be best to do that in Spring, after last frost. I would suggest either posting a specific question about your concerns here on Hometalk - the responses are just great, and really helpful (be sure to state what zone you live in). And Better Homes & Gardens (www.bhg.com) website is pretty helpful - type lambs ear or other topic in search box. Lastly, your local extension agency (likely through OSU.edu in your area) is a gold mine of info. They usually have an army at-the-ready to take questions. I took the Master Gardening class from my agency - the research materials & resources provided are worth it, plus you meet a lot of like-minded friends. Good luck!
