With a few leaf garlands from The Dollar Store, you can make a one of a kind bowl for your fall decorating.
We want to help you DIY, so some of the materials in this post are linked to sellers. Just so you know, Hometalk may collect a small share of sales from the links on this page.(Editor's note: links in this post will be to Amazon but all materials are available in the Dollar store as well)
For this project, I purchased 7 leaf garlands from The Dollar Store.

Begin by removing the leaves from the garland by turning the leaf to the back and carefully peel the leaf from the vine.

You will also need a large playground ball.

Place the ball into a bowl to keep it stable.
Cover one half of the ball with plastic wrap.
Apply Modge Podge on top of the plastic wrap.
Lay a leaf onto the Modge Podge then apply Modge Podge on top of the leaf.
Continue to apply Modge Podge and leaves, overlapping them so you can no longer see the ball through the leaves.
Allow the Modge Podge to dry at least 12 hours. Deflate the ball and carefully remove it.
Carefully remove the plastic wrap. The ball will be floppy due to it's large size but...
once you fill the bowl with candy treats, pinecones or other fall decorations, your bowl will look great
This bowl would look great anywhere in your home to add that unique fall flare.

Initially, I wasn't too enthused but the result is so pretty and colorful, I think I might try this. It will be good use for a boatload of loose fall (silk) leaves I have left over from prior projects. Thanks for the cute idea!

I admire your skill. I have tries this twice on a smaller scale and failed miserably. Guess we all can’t do everything 🙄.

Nice job and it looks great. 🤗

Perhaps you applied your Mod Podge too thickly. Try thinner coats and more layers of it allowing it to dry completely between coats.
