Harry Potter Painted Mason Jar Pencil Holders

We are big Harry Potter fans in our house. I have personally read the books at least three times and have lost count of how many times I have seen the movies.
This project was inspired not only by the release of the new Harry Potter book last month, but also for back to school.
For this project you will need four cleaned Mason Jars and acrylic paints in each color of the Hogwart's Houses - navy, red, yellow, and green. I painted the outside of each jar in three coats of paint - allowing each coat to dry overnight.
Then I measured and taped off circles around each jar for the secondary house colors in bronze, silver, black, and yellow. I did have to do some touch-up painting after removing the painters tape.
I printed out each House crest from a free printable site found on Pinterest. This step is optional. I then cut them out and attached them to each House jar with gold thread. For more details and pictures of the final project, check out my blog post link below. Thanks!
