Instagram Shadow Box Art

If you follow me on Instagram, I'm sure you have noticed by now how much I'm obsessed with it in love with it. I was a late adopter to the widely popular app, but once I started, I just couldn't stop. I'm a very visual person and love living life through pictures (hence my blog) and Instagram is just another extension of that.
I recently realized there are a ton of my Instagram pictures that I adore, but I don't really see all that often. I mean... Yes I take the picture, and post it, but I don't look through my own Instagram account, so when do I get to enjoy my pictures?? For example, I have posted favorites like my hubby and I celebrating our 3 year wedding anniversary, a beautiful sunset photo from our last vacation, a signed vinyl record from our absolute FAVORITE music group... I could go on. I decided I wanted to finally enjoy my pictures and display them!
I made a quick trip to Michael's and snagged an awesome shadow box for only $10!! It's pretty large too. I think it might be 11x16? I could be wrong on that... don't quote me. Anyhoo, I lucked out because they were having an awesome sale - 50% off! I also had to pick up some photo paper. I chose a matte finish paper for my inkjet printer that I found at my local office supply store.
After looking through my Instagram account, I found 9 of my favorite pictures. Since I'm still not sure how to directly print off the photos from Instagram (and I also didn't want to waste paper and print one picture per page) I took a screen shot of each picture, copy and pasted them into a document, and printed them out. There were about 4 pictures per page which only used up 3 sheets of my special photo paper.
I cut out the photos with an exacto knife and then placed them in my desired arrangement. Once I was happy with the placement, I used some masking tape to tape them onto the felt backing of the shadow box.
