There has been a corner of my kitchen that has been a pain in my side for almost 20 years. Its an awkward corner where the hallway and the laundry room pass by in the dining room. For almost 20 years I have just put corner cabinets there to fill the space not knowing how to utilize it. I finally had an "AHHA" moment and figured out a way to make that corner more useful. Come see how easy it was to create an eating nook using IKEA benches.
This was the corner before..Notice the old corner cabinet. When we were painting our kitchen I finally decided that I was going to do something with this corner. Goodbye Corner Cabinet....
I ordered 2 IKEA MOGLER benches and a BISTRO TABLE I got mine from IKEA and World Market but I linked up to similar items you can find on Amazon if you don't have those stores near you.
Once it was all done it was time to decorate.
And here it is all FINISHED!! My daughter sits here and draws and I sit and have my coffee.

This is perfect for my odd corner in the kitchen. I too have always put corner cabinets that only got in the way and became catchalls for other odd things:) I am going to go one step further(And cheaper) and start making my thrift store rounds on 50% off furniture days ! Yahoo ! A cool place to sip my morning tea and watch the birds:) Thanks !
