What are good plants to place in front of boxwoods?
I have a row of boxwoods in front of my porch. I want to add color, but don't know what would work best. I live in Southeast Texas (Zone 8 or 9). Any suggestions?
Flowering plants, petunias, so easy. Love the sun and bloom from May to first frost. The wave petunias make great hanging baskets, can hang down several feet with tons of blooms. Geraniums, nostrum. Autumn Sediums look like Jade plants bloom in the fall, start off pink turning to a burnt orange. These come back every year, just cover before snow with straw or something. Mums love the sun and also come back. There are a ton that love the sun, I like the ones that bloom all summer. I use Jack's fertilizer you can order off the internet. Feed them every time you water which should be twice a day you will have huge blooms. Talk to the people there, they are great help

Zinnias are one of the easiest to grow flowers from seed. i also like sunflowers and cosmos.

BTW, I'm in zone 8/9
