Hand Stained Red Lily Using Dyes and Stains #2

Before christmas, I had a customer purchase my Sunflower Table
He decided he wanted a pair of red lily tables. I had one table the size and style that he needed so I got the first Red Lily table done for him.
(I posted this one previously here on Hometalk)
I then had to try to find a match for the second one he wanted. This should have been an easy task, but I couldn't find one exactly to match for quite some time.
Finally, I found this one, that was close but a little on the lighter side.
I stripped the top down and came up with a coordinating lily design and got started on the staining.
I used General Finishes Merlot Dye for the red of the lily and Minwax Ebony for the shading to make the lily come to life.
I sealed it all with Polyvine Satin for a durable finish!
Here are the two side by side.. lighting is a little different in the pictures, so coloring is a little off.
Although this post was QUICK, the designing wasn't! My pieces usually take about 2 - 3 weeks from start to finish, and depending on the intricacy of the design, the staining itself takes anywhere from 10 - 16 hours. And I enjoy every minute of making these pieces of furniture art!
Thanks for following along with me!! As always, I would love for you to connect with me socially!
