Lamp Turns Glamp

I gave this yard sale find a Hollywood makeover.
For those of you that follow, you may have seen my Marilyn Vanity. I was still in "Marilyn Mode" when I decided that I would give this lamp a completely different look. It was a yard sale bargain, so I had nothing to lose.
It's no surprise that I chose Heirloom Traditions Products. What you see above is a black bean base and some dry brushing of Silver Bullet (plus Bling). As a retailer for this line, you can buy this color combo on their website with a discount. Use use my code TLD at checkout and be sure you don't pay full price, it helps!!
1 Gel is another amazing product by this company. I use tons of it. It can be used as a transfer medium, a decoupaging dream, or even a top coat. You can get this with my coupon too.
Here is a closeup of the Finial. That little white strip is a row of rhinestones covered in glue.. just before I dazzled it up.
The glue is still wet in this picture. Sometimes I have no patience, but once it dried- it looked fantastic. That's the jar of BB paint it's standing on.
This is a very very very close shot of the shade - I wanted to show you the glitter.
And here are some finished photos and close ups. The shade is all done with 1gel as the decoupage medium. If I found any flaws, I just cut out another small Marilyn pic and covered it.
A closeup of the lampshade. It's total Glam. You can't see the glitter coat in the photo- but it has a nice glossy glitter shine.
I finished this one at a school, during an art show. The gym floor wasn't the best for staging.
More of the shade. There are double rows of Bling around the top and bottom of the shade, as well as crystals throughout the base.
Just more shots...
I hope you like it's new look! Thanks for following Tamara Lee Designs. You can find my items on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Etsy, or my website. All of the products are from Heirloom Traditions and you can purchase these items there. Let them know I'm chatting them up by getting your discount and using my coupon code TLD at checkout.
Cheers!!!
