Rustoleum spray paint for the frame and decoupage for the center .
I have seen some cute ones done in a white chalk paint finish, distressed and then stenciled with french script or decorations. Here is a blog link that has several other cute ideas: http://www.curbly.com/16687-10-clever-ways-to-make-over-your-tv-tray-tables
I picked up some decoupage paper at Hobby Lobby and used it on mine. The paper is textured and feels like wood. Just add a clear coat afterwards for extra protection.
These would look great with chalk paint/distressed finish or chalk paint decoupage design.
You could use acrylic paints to make them look like faux marble or granite. Be sure to seal them with polyurethane.
You could paint them, decoupage them, stencil them. Then seal it with your choice of poly/dealer.
Spray paint the frame gold or silver and put marble contact paper on tray.
use liquid starch and fabric. you can cover anything (including walls) and it removes easily if you want to change it.
Thanks y'all are awesome
