Graduation Cap Card Holder Box

One of the most popular gifts to give a graduate is a card. Let's make a graduation cap card holder for people to put those special cards in.
Supplies needed:
an 8.5 inch box (you can buy at a craft store)
card stock (scrapbook) paper in school's color
button in coordinating color
glue
Cut paper to size and cover all sides, including the lid sides.
Cut a slit into the lid for the cards to slide through.
(I'm sure you can cut straighter than me!)
Center the lid onto a 12x12 piece of card stock.
Trace the slit onto the paper.
Cut the paper.
Lining up the cuts, glue the paper to the lid.
Glue a button to the top and attach the tassel.
You can decorate the box with pictures, stickers, etc.
I decided to leave it plain. Along with some pictures, memorabilia, and of course some tasty food, I think this will be a great addition to my daughter's graduation party.
