#1 I’m in love with Redposie! I took my first paint class there! Bought my spray gun w/ tent from them. They got me hook on the general finishes products & of course Dixie Belle. Convincing my husband not to sand everything in sight has been challenging but so rewarding! Lol recently we picked up a set of kitchen cabinets from a kitchen makeover that are solid wood & are under 20 yrs old still in fairly good shape! Score! We got them in a trade for some furniture I was selling & I still made cash! I will be using them in my newly constructed/remodeled/converted storage to craft room so since I have all white shelving & the micheals Store craft organization craft room furniture I’ve been receiving bit by bit as gifts over the years. I’m looking for something a bit different & modern to brighten the room. Dixie The room!
Have a question about this project?
Could you explain the island color Sea glass and staining technique with Grunge Glaze. Is Redposie in St. Louis, St. Charles ?
I must be missing something. All that my computer shows is laying the door faces on the floor, then the finished product pictures. Nothing about technique. ???
HI everyone. I just read this about an hour ago and was so impressed that I tried it myself. I not only finished in record time but dues to the simplicity of the technic involved I wanted to share with you my story. Enjoy and hopefully you wont take as long as I did with this one.
My bathroom cabinets are horrible. They are that awful white plastic covered (probably over plywood). The plastic is coming loose around the edge seams. If that is glued down, can chalk paint be used over the plastic, and if so, what prep is used to make it adhere to the plastic?
Dixie belle has a product, called slick stick, it’s a primer for slick surfaces. After cleaning, you would apply the slick stick, then paint and seal!
