When I moved into the house the upstairs bedrooms were painted this Sand Color in a flat paint which after 1 year just looked dirty. I didn't do a major transformation like I did with the kitchen but it is more of a relaxed environment which is what you want for a massage room. I didn't think about taking too many before pics but it also had a white ceiling fan...YUCK.
This is the old color, you can see how blah it is.
I decided to open up the room and paint it Light Grey with a Light Green color wall. This is the Light Grey being painted you can see the old color better with some of the new color.
First coat of the grey paint applied already looks better...it was a cloudy day though so you can't see the brightness yet. While the first coat dried I installed the new ceiling fan.
This is the first coat of the light green paint being applied on the color wall. Once again the cloudy day lighting was not working to compliment the photos with my cell camera
Color wall completely done. And you can see the new ceiling fan. While this dried I ran to Home Depot and Marshalls for new light switch plates and outlet covers and new curtains. I got nickle plated light switches and outlet covers and a sheer gray curtain from Marshall's. The black cellular blind is from Ikea
Once the paint was dried I did the wood floor with Murphys and a Wood wax...brought the floor back to life.
Total relaxed environment
