Have fun!
I like the ideas of cutting it into two small round flowers planters, you can always grow food in it too. Or my other thought was cutting in into two 'troughs' (lengthwise) and creating an aquaponics system. I can always turn those into two rectangular planters if it doesn't work out too.
Put drainage holes in the bottom and grow a trailing annual.Make a container planting on the top, basically using it as a plant stand
You can turn it into a planter!
Looks just like the one I have out back. Planed the same thing as you and did use for compost tea with burlap over the hole for a while. I like the cut in half lengthwise and glue something to cover the hole as planters. I will have to check back to see what others come up with too.
TURN THE DRUM WITH THE CUT SIDE UP. fILL WITH SOIL AND YOU CAN GROW BEAUTFUL PLANTS OR aSMALL TREE
split lengthwise and turn into containers for carrots, vegetables or other root crops
