Repurposed Singer Sewing Machine Into a Beautiful Vanity
by

(IC: homeowner)
We had an old Singer sewing machine without the sewing machine. I wanted to make it into a vanity so we replaced the top because the the original top opened. My husband cut a new top from a leaf of an old table that we had. We then added an old harp shaped mirror from a dresser that we no longer had. I painted the whole thing in a black and light gray, stenciled a French poem on the top, distressed the entire piece, waxed it, then used an antiquing wax on it to give it that aged look. I think it turned out great! I can definitely see this in a bathroom with a vessel sink on it!
