In my Dining Room Reveal Part 1 post you guys can see how I installed the beautiful removable Wallpaper in my Dining Room but today I want to show you guys how I achieved this beautiful marbling.
Here is a little refresher on how it actually looked Before
And Yes! I did give it a makeover before which you can see here in my, Stenciled Dining Table Set post.
Don’t get me wrong I did love the makeover but I just wanted a change plus it just didn’t fit in with my Dining Room decor anymore.
The stenciling was clashing with the Turquoise and Gold Medallion Wallpaper as a background.
I used a couple of shades of Metallics from Gold, to Copper, to Silver and Rose Gold. I did add a plain yellow color and grey color as well.
I mixed the colors individually in disposable cups and added water to thin it out so it would be easier to swirl around and create a marbled effect.
Since this table was already stenciled on top, I did give it a quick coat of a white paint so it was somewhat of a blank canvas.
I poured the colors one by one onto the table and slowly tilted it so that the paint could move around.
Let the excess paint drip down the sides.
This video below will show you guys how easy this whole process was from start to finish.
And this is how the tabled ended up looking.

Beautiful and have 3 different tables I could use. I can see along with making Christmas ornaments I will take some of my supplies after I choose the right table.

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
Very avant garde! Did you apply a sealant? I'd love to try this on a sheltered patio table.
Forgot to ask...is that wallpaper behind the table and chairs? It's very pretty...
I love this idea! I have an old Grossflex patio table made of resin. Would this work on it? I was just about to donate it and saw this.
