I've found that out of all the things I've used to try and get rid of the ants, cornmeal and patience is the winner. Just sit a dish out with cornmeal in it and they will come. They carry it back to the nest to feed everyone. This is where the patience comes in. It takes about a good week or more to get them gone for good.
