11 Uses for Your Old Office Filing Cabinets to Give Them a New Lease of Life

Use it as a planter.
Spray paint it to coordinate with your outdoor seating area and coat with a clear coat to protect from the weather. Place it on its back and add pretty plants to decorate your garden. The plants could be either annuals or perennials. OR if you entertain a lot, you could use for parties as a ice container with a variety of drinks place in the ice.
Evaluate its state and contemplate restorations or a new layer of paint to revitalize its look. After restoration, use it as a cupboard to hold culinary items, office supplies, or craft supplies. Alternatively, use your imagination to transform it into a tiny bar or plant stand, or add shelves or other decorative accents. Give it to a nearby charity or school so that it can be used again if you don't need it. You can give your old file cabinet new life and cut down on trash by repurposing it.
