It may be cheaper if you just bought replacements from a thrift store.
post picture. hard to say without seeing them
Hello, I have re-done many lampshades and I will show you some of the ones i have done to give you some ideas. I just used a hot glue gun or some thick tacky glue to attach the things to the shades. The last one isn't quite finished as I need to add more leaves. Hope this gives you a little inspiration.
You can paint lampshades, cover them in fabric, etc. Here are some ideas:

Would you like to clean them or change their look? I use a microfiber cloth and lint brush to clean off dust and smudges. I have seen several great projects for changing and updating their look: http://www.hometalk.com/diy/decorate/rooms/diy-how-to-fabric-lampshade-makeover-27888726

I have dyed and spray painted some. You can change the trim.
To clean use the upholstery attachment on your vacuum cleaner. I sometimes give a quick wipe with a lightly dampened sponge.
When I was a kid, I remember reading that some people used a slice of bread as a dry sponge to clean paper ones...I have never seen that or done it though, lol.
I decoupage lamp shades. If they are fabric wash them and hang outside to dry. Add trim or other embellishments. You could glue ribbon on to make different patterns.
Maybe, not always, you could place them in a laundry tub filled with soapy water. Do it quickly so the entire shade gets equal treatment. Rinse in another water-filled sink. Using a rope tie them to a clothes line where they can drip dry.
Thank you Eileen.. Good idea
