what type of house do you have? That will make a big difference in how you’d want to update it

And it depends on what your budget is. For a little- new plantings, to as big as new windows, porch, siding, driveway.
Well, Cuy, there are a number of things you can do to make your list shorter - and so it's easier to decide your new look. First, are there any rules in your HOA that limit what you can do? Second, (if there aren't any rules) are you OK with having your house possibly not blend in with the rest of the neighborhood. If you DO want to blend in, but still have your own character get some ideas from homes around you. Third, think of what you like! Are you fond of a certain color or do you like wood or brick, stone, stucco or a combo? Do you like a natural look with trees and plantings -- and do you have time for their upkeep? Get the answers to these things first and you'll be well on you way to what kind of look you want. Best foot forward!
