DIY Repurposed Wire Hamper Patio Table

Turn an old wire hamper frame into a modern patio table in just three simple steps. All you need are four items along with a few hours of time, and then you're done!

The first thing you'll need to do for this project is gather your supplies.

SUPPLIES I USED:

Wire Laundry Hamper Frame
Pizza Pan (for the table top)
Paint & Primer Glossy Black Spray Paint
Gorilla Glue

I already had the wire hamper frame sitting around because it had been the one we used for our laundry up until the bag that came with it ripped.

We'd just purchased a new laundry sorter, and were trying to figure out what to do with this frame, when my husband came up with the perfect solution: to turn it into a small table for our patio!

In case you don't have a hamper frame sitting around, don't fret! You can either buy one brand new, or snatch up one up at the thrift store that needs a new life.

Now that you have your supplies on hand, paint both the wire frame and pizza pan with black glossy spray paint.

The brand I used was Rust-oleum, and I've included a snapshot of the actual can above for your reference.

Then you'll need to glue the pizza pan and wire frame together.

I used Gorilla Glue for this step, which you can find in most craft and hardware stores.

And now you're done!

This is how the finished product looks. Not too shabby for an old hamper frame and pizza pan, right?

I went ahead and styled it with some books and my favorite mug full of tea. And I love how it looks on our patio!
