If there were such a Santa Claus, which skill would you want Santa to bring you? Or which project would you like to do that you could magically afford?

Great question, Emily!! Unfortunately, I live in low income senior citizens and not allowed to change or update or have certain things repaired myself, or by friend's. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you.

I would love to be able to transform my blah counter tops. I would also wish for all the DIY skills my hubby has and has trouble using now so that I could take over repairs and be able to build things like he can.

I wish it was that easy, he has his own style of doing things, but they turn out right every time. He is an electromechanical engineer by schooling and can do things that I don't even want to attempt fo my safety. He can do or fix everything and I have participated in lots of the things he can do (I can tear down and clean and put back together a Holley carburetor in my sleep and even make my own jets for it), but there are so many little things that I can't do even though I have tried to learn, like welding (totally scared of it), soldering (can't get the solder on right for the life of me) and others that I just can't do (hands have bothered me for twenty years and are not strong enough, even though I am really strong in all the other muscles). I just wish I could do things as well as he does.

Does learning to play an accordion, a fiddle, a piano and a bodhran qualify?

  • Judy Judy on Dec 26, 2017

Yes, this is true, tho with patience, it is easier to sew, and make things for our home. It is always great to learn, and try diff. patterns, and subjects to make. We can always make items for the less fortunate. Have a lovely day, J.

Lots of best wishes, to you. Our blessings are overflowing, and I would love to pass the talents and blessings out, but, these are all learned on the rough road. That all takes time, and endurance. Lots of peace and joy for '18!!!
