Use window insulation kits from Three M
If it is coming around the panes (cannot come through unless the glass is broken), the glazing putty will need to be replaced.
For a quick fix, go to any hardware store or the aisle where they sell weather stripping at Walmart and buy a kit for insulating windows. It will contain clear plastic sheets and double sided tape. Tape all around the windows then stick the plastic sheet to it. Use a hair dryer to shrink the wrinkles out of the film. When done you will not even notice they are there except the breeze will be gone.
To help with cold nighttime air, I hung a Roman shade with curtains over the top. During the day the shade is raised and the curtains open.
You can also try bubble wrap. Spray the window with water and the bubble wrap will stick to it after it's cut to the correct size.
Bubble wrap!! Set it, apply it, pull off in the spring! Does an amazing job!
A huge roll is $20.00...get the one with the small bubbles. Apply flat side to window
Hello,
Stretch Cling film across your window or use Plexiglass on a frame and fit that for the season.
