I just finished decorating a mobile home and it was so bright (yet cozy!) and functional when it was done! Keep your decorating color scheme the same throughout the entire home so that the decor flows through all of the rooms to give the illusion of more space. Decorating with light, rich colors in the same color family creates a feeling of calm and richness.. Add a bright accent color (or two) with accessories (the funkier the better) and have fun. A mobile home shouldn't be treated any differently than any other--- your home should reflect your personality and be the sanctuary you run to!
Wall paper, paint, new counter tops, Laminate floors.
Would be nice, but She says that it is rented.
Start by doing a serious cleaning and decluttering. Repair walls if needed and paint. If you don't have any trim at the bottom of your walls consider adding that. If you do have it remember to clean that too. Make sure to give all windows a good cleaning (inside and outside). Remove old dried paint from window frames. Rent a steam cleaner if you don't own one and clean your carpets. Repair things that need to be fixed (cabinets that don't stay shut, missing hardware, etc). Put things away. Clean things like dirty clothes hampers. Give your bathrooms a intense cleaning. Same with the kitchen. Go thru kitchen cupboards and donate what you don't need. Clean off your fridge. New lighting might be needed. A new light fixture can make a huge difference in a room (looks not just lighting). Just carry thru with an intense cleaning throughout the entire house. It will be more sanitary, look more organized and smell better too.
