This is a complete tutorial for my DIY Throw Pillows with Velcro Closure. It includes a tutorial on how to make your own corded trim as well.
Complete tutorial on how to make these DIY throw pillows with corded trim and velcro closure.
The fabric I used was actually a Threshold curtain panel from Target. It was the perfect shade of orange and geometric pattern for my bedroom.
The corded trim is easy to make. You must use the bias-cut of the fabric. It allows you to utilize the stretch in the fabric.
Velcro placement is important. I position my velcro at the bottom of the pillow.
The velcro closure is virtually invisible when the velcro is sewn correctly on to the fabric.

CC on May 01, 2014Thanks so much for the tutorial. I am a beginner, beginner sewer, but I'm going to attempt these. I also found that buying curtain panels is so much cheaper than actually buying fabric. Now I have to figure out what cutting on the bias means.Lol thanks again.
