DIY Painted Storage Boxes

As part of my home office makeover, I DIY'ed modern storage boxes that really brought the room together, at zero cost! I used only things I already had laying around the house.
These boxes really brought some excitement to the room and cost me $0, only taking about 15 minutes to make. They're one of my favorite parts of the room.
The boxes are from two shoe boxes that I'd saved from my latest shopping spree. After spraying on a a couple coats of white paint, I painted on patterns with my black acrylic paint. Polka Dots for one box, and x's for the other. I decided the more "hand painted" it looked, the better, so I did my best to make the black patterns look imperfect.
