First decide if you want to keep it wood or paint it. If painting then I recommend using a chalk or mineral paint as they are easy to use and little to no prep work. You can also spruce it up by adding new handles to it.

love this as is (Maybe re-finished) layout would be great for a large costume jewellery cabinet, ( necklaces.bracelets, earrings rings hair bobbles etc. all in one place.) Or a crafters cabinet. or collectors cabinet.
This is the type of piece I was hunting for when making my girls a dress up closest the side areas could be changed out to house a shirt hanging rod for costume dresses and plenty of drawers space for accessories.
Alternatively, this could also be used for baby clothes. Looks to have lots of storage for smaller baby items and again, use the side panels for having items.
A simple sanding, painting and possibly knob change out will update this quite easily to match any room decor.
Cut the top off, bottom could then become a hall bench with storage or tv stand for a big screen tv. The top could be made into a bookshelf (remove the drawers, add shelving supports) separate the top pieces into thirds to make interesting side tables.
Use the drawers as cute box shelves on a wall to hold knick-knacks. Paint them cute colors, maybe Mod Podge a picture or scrapbook paper to the back.
If you have room in your kitchen turn it into a food pantry
maybe use it for hold crafty stuff, material, straight pins, stuffing down below in drawer, have some dividers made . Repaint all the drawers & distress them . I am a crafty person, not sure. Good luck though
this would be ideal in the kitchen if you have the space think of all of those things cluttering your counter that you could store in there out of the way and the bottom would be great for t towels and linens or if you are really crafty think about turning it into a bar or wine holder
