you did not mention what the exterior was made of
Give it a good wash and then see what you have to work with. Yes you can roll or brush on if that is your preference. Here are some sites with options. If you need more, let us know, there are lots of RV sites out there!

i would clean the area well, then use oil based paint or an akaloyd from SW or BM
Shouldn't be a problem. Have to rough up the surface so paint will stick. Be sure to wash the outside to get rid of all dirt. Go to paint store for auto paint and info on how much you need. Also ask about adding lacquer; that's what really makes the shine. Tape windows and trim so you don't mess them up.
My grandfather bought an old cab and painted it using a spray gun. We called it the green hornet.
power wash before you do anything else. Then research correct product to use if repainting.
You really need a direct to metal paint. Ppg makes one that is full acrylic dtm. I used it a year ago on an aluminum body rv. It looks fantastic. Prep is key
I would try to pressure wash it first. If that does not work, talk to an auto paint shop and get their advice on painting it yourself. Or if you have a neighbor who paints vehicles for a living, maybe you could barter to have him do it in exchange for you doing him some work? It is just a thought.
rags and vinegar cleans almost anything
Hello Soleil,
Best to use a Auto Paint or a good Gloss Paint. After you have given it a good clean down first. - Try "Williams" Car Cleaner. No Water Cleaner.
