Are they any mower repair men/women who will come to my house?
My self propelled electric start mower and my riding mower need some tuning up so they will start. It is hard for me to get them to a shop. Does anyone do house calls? Thanks, Sue

You would just need to call and see if they would be willing to...would probably charge extra but might be worth it.
Google "lawnmower repair shops" and call each one of them to see who might offer this service. Or go through the yellow pages. If all else, Sears might, certainly worth a phone call.
I use Angie's list for things like this. It's free.
I recommend going to HomeAdvisers.com. They have many different types of professionals for all different types of jobs. They do background checks on all of them, so you can feel comfortable having them at your house. They also provide customer reviews. And, here's the best part, it's free. We have used pros from HomeAdvisers on three separate occasions. We were very happy with all three.
Just call and ask any store that advertises they do lawnmower repairs. They very likely will come to do the repairs but it may cost more than if you were able to take it into their shop.....or they may be able to recommend someone. Good Luck!
Angie's list has the shops and info you need for this type of situation.
Many places will pick up mowers. Look in your local yellow pages, or YP online. They usually don't like to do repairs at you place due to not having everything they need to do an unexpected repair or having to order a part. My mower guy charges $25.00 to pick up and deliver - roundtrip. Well worth it..As a matter of fact, my riding mower is there now getting a new starter.
