packaged cornbread mix that says it is sweetened and put it where they are coming in if you can find it, or even on your counter in a small lid. They will take it to the mound, everyone will eat it and die, they can't digest the cornmeal, but will take it because it is sweetened. Little goes a long way.
We had ants come in our house every spring/summer when we lived in Minnesota. I tried all the indoor ant solutions, foam and terro feed stations, would put it around the cabinets, doors, etc, they would disappear, then a month or so later, back again. I never saw an actual ant hill anywhere. Finally, (after several years...I guess I'm a slow learner :) ) I tried the little granules made for killing ants, sprinkled them all around my foundation, and they never came back. However, they are poison, and one of my chickens did die from eating them, so use with caution. Sorry, I don't know of any organic methods, that is the only thing that finally worked for me.

I use a product called 'Terro'.
Outside I would use Amdro 24 hour kill. Inside I use home defense. If you see a trail put peppermint on a cotton ball and wipe the area. Ants hate peppermint.
